There are more than 500 alumni of Yeshivat Hadar’s immersive summer and year programs, around 100 of whom are currently living in Israel. Hadar Alumni are a vibrant community that stay connected through active online listservs, monthly e-updates, micro-grant projects and two annual in-person conferences—one in the US and another in Israel. Several active local alumni hubs meet to share Torah, friendship and food in cities around the country, and in Israel. Hadar Alumni are leaders in building vibrant, engaged Jewish communities throughout the world.
Alumni Microgrant Fund
Yeshivat Hadar's Alumni Microgrant Fund offers alumni the opportunity to build on their experience in the yeshiva through work in their home communities. Alumni projects enhance local Jewish life, offer alumni the opportunity to serve as teachers and leaders, and are a source of continued learning and personal growth. The diversity of projects reflect the many values of the Hadar community, including learning, prayer, community building, social service/hesed, halakhah, music, spirituality, and more. Microgrants fund work in Israel and America, on college campuses and in living rooms, at Shuls and in schools—anywhere alumni have seen an opportunity.
Annual Alumni Conference
The annual alumni conference is the highlight of the Hadar alumni calendar. Together we enjoy amazing davening, delicious food, singing, schmoozing and sharing of Torah. The shabbaton is our annual opportunity to reconnect to each other and to everything that inspired us about our time learning in Yeshiva. The alumni conference is always the last weekend in January.
Alumni Hubs and Committees
We are now building new Alumni committees:
We are excited to build the first ever Hadar Alumni Chesed Committee. This group will celebrate together with alumni in happy times, and offer comfort and support to alumni through hard times.
The anchor of the alumni year is the annual Alumni Conference, which is chaired each year by three alumni.
This group works with the Alumni coordinator and Hadar’s development team to organize the alumni giving campaign.
Local Alumni Hubs
We have one Hadar Alumni Representative in each city with a large alumni community. Reps welcome new alumni to the area and set up one or two local events a year.
