Academic Credit at Mechon Hadar

Mechon Hadar is proud to offer academic credit for select courses offered at the Yeshiva.

Mechon Hadar classes are accredited through Gratz College. Gratz College is accredited by the Middle States Association and credits awarded by Gratz have been accepted at Columbia University and Barnard College, Johns Hopkins University, New York University, the University of Maryland, and over 60 other colleges and universities. For a full list of institutions that have accepted this credit in the past click here. Please be in touch with the registrar of your home institution about transfer credit and requirements.

 

Classes

Classes taken for credit are fully integrated with all full-time and part-time students. Students taking classes for credit will partake in assessments and may be required to take additional hours of guided study.

Semesters

Mechon Hadar is accepting applications for study during the follow terms:

  • Fall 2012: Oct. 15-Dec. 20. Up to 12 credits.
  • Spring 2013: Jan. 6-May 10. Up to 15 credits.
  • Summer 2013: Jun 2-August 2 Up to 12 credits.

 

Cost

Undergraduate credit: $500/credit
Graduate credit: $600/credit.



Application and Admissions Requirements:

The application process for credit-earning students is the same as that for students who are taking classes with us on a part-time basis.

All applicants interested in studying Talmud should fill out the Talmud Application here and contact us about setting up an in-person meeting with a member of the Yeshivat Hadar faculty.
