Sihah

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 7:30 - 8:45pm

The evening Sihah aims to be an especially informal environment for addressing the duties of the heart that benefit from additional attention after a long day of tackling difficult texts. Featuring faculty members and guest teachers, the Sihah will seek to unify the realms of mind and soul as part of our larger transformative journey through learning. How do we translate the ideas we have learned into our active religious lives? Topics covered will include: making teshuvah a daily, spiritual process, the religious significance of the State of Israel, and our relationship to Tanakh in the wake of modern scholarship. Topics will be selected in part based on the interests of prospective students and some Sihot will aim to address issues that arise over the course of the summer.
