We'll be paying close attention both to Midrashic method (how are the Rabbis reading various verses to yield new meanings?) and to religious ideas (what can we learn, for example, about revelation and about God's love for Israel from these texts?). Though all are welcome, all texts will be studied in Hebrew, and the pace will be fairly rapid. |
